The Parador de Malaga is also known as the Real Club de Campo Malaga, and has been around the Costa Del Sol since 1925, when it was the first golf course to be built in the area. Located conveniently close to Malaga airport, it is a popular first stop for visiting players who like to jump right in at the deep end. The challenging layout, set right on the beach, was conceived by Tom Simpson, designer of the UK’s famous Muirfield and Turnbury courses, and incorporates natural features such as sandy dunes and natural water hazards. A big favourite with the locals, the Parador is highly recommended for golfers of all levels. As it is located near to the sea it has links characteristics such as sea water lagoons and fast greens to keep you entertained. As with all links courses, when the wind blows it can present a challenge even for the best of golfer’s but don’t be deterred by this because the course is suitable for all levels of golfer. The 18 hole course is a par 72 with a more average length as it is neither short nor long and is flat it is ideal to walk around and catch a tan whilst you play your game. A recently added 9 holes just reinforces the popularity of this course and so is one to have a go round. The course has a hotel, bar, restaurant, pro shop, driving range, putting greens and lessons are also available at The Parador. |
