The Baviera course, nestled in the foothills of the splendid Sierra de la Almijara, is a pleasant half-hour drive from Malaga.

Opened in 2001, the course was designed by Spanish pro Jose Maria Canazares, the course features generous fairways, large, quick greens and a variety of unique challenges from water features to deviously placed sand traps. 

Golfers who have played the Baviera praise its relaxed yet taxing design, natural beauty and excellent facilities.

Anyone who maybe struggling with their stroke can get some practice in at the golf school situated on the complex, with lessons off a golf pro if needed.

With a great course and facilities, the club boasts various tournaments for various ages and handicappers alike throughout the year, which represents the interest this course has from golfers.

Looking onto the golf course is the hotel which looks out on to great views such as the course and surrounding scenery.

With it only located 30 minutes inland from Malaga it means the course it nicely spread out with large fairways and greens to hit at. Just be careful to make sure that the surrounding scenery doesn’t distract to from the task at hand…playing a great round of golf!
