The majestic Atalaya Golf and Country Club is the PGA’s European headquarters, and it’s not hard to see why, with two superbly designed 18 hole courses, both of differing character and challenge. 

The old course, designed in 1967 by Bernhard Von Limburger, is a distinctly panoramic affair, with vast sweeping fairways and a simple yet challenging nature. 

The new course has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Mediterranean Sea.  Both courses offer a unique experience for both amateur and professional golfers.

Apart from the two fantastic yet diverse courses, Atalaya Golf and Country Club has numerous other facilities such as a training area, consisting of a driving range, three putting greens and six pitching areas, enabling you to touch up on them vital last shots before you tee off on one of the two courses.

Other facilities include ‘La Casa Clubhouse, ’ the ‘Ryder Cup’ bar which offers great views, a pro-shop and the restaurant which offers some of the best Mediterranean dishes found on the Costa Del Sol.

Does your game need tweaking slightly; well why not have a few lessons with PGA registered golf pro’s using the country club’s facilities.

The technical director of the country club quotes, ‘everything we do starts with the mind! A relaxed mental approach affects the physical side of our game and can help us improve.’
