The unique Almenara course is famous for its majestic pine and oak trees that shelter the front nine holes, and the abundance of gorgeous water features that adorn the back nine. 

As such, this is a course that demands a straight drive and a degree of control over your strokeplay, or you are likely to find yourself in the aforementioned trees and water fairly often. 

Narrow fairways and towering bunkers enhance the difficulty of one of the region’s most challenging golfing experiences, yet the Almenara is designed in such a way as to make it an enjoyable challenger rather than a frustrating experience. 

Nevertheless, we recommend that less experienced players may like to put in some practice at some of the Costa Del Sol’s more casual coursed before taking on the Almenara. 

It is also a distinctly hilly walk, and therefore suitable only for those in good health.

The Almenara is also home to the renowned Almenara School of Excellence, one of the finest golfing schools in Europe and an excellent place to improve your game with the help of the latest technology and expert instructors.
